Aslan

Aslan is a French Bulldog x Golden Retriever who is searching for a calm, understanding home where he can feel safe, settled, and truly valued for who he is.

While we are aware that “long-haired French Bulldogs” and similar mixes are currently very popular, it’s important to be clear that Aslan is not being rehomed as a “designer breed.” We will not consider applications from those drawn to him primarily because of his appearance or novelty. Ethical ownership matters deeply, and Aslan deserves a home that appreciates the French Bulldog breed for the right reasons and is interested in his personality, wellbeing, and companionship above all else.

Aslan is best suited to a quiet, adult-only home with minimal comings and goings. He can find frequent visitors or unfamiliar people entering his space overwhelming, particularly in the early stages. Given time, patience, and positive interactions taken at his pace, Aslan forms strong and meaningful bonds. Once that trust is built, he reveals his true nature as a loving, affectionate companion.

He is very much a lap dog and thrives on closeness with his people. Aslan is a relaxed, easygoing boy who enjoys spending time in the home environment, soaking up attention and sharing calm moments. He doesn’t need a busy or highly active lifestyle – he’s happiest simply being near you, enjoying affection and quiet strolls in the countryside.

One thing that Aslan loves which people may find unusual for this breed, is WATER! Aslan has shown a keen desire for a little paddle and play in water so be prepared for your next water doggo.

Aslan shows little interest in other dogs and would be most comfortable as the only dog in the household, where he can enjoy a peaceful environment. He has however enjoyed parraell walks with other canine companions of same nature.

In the right home, Aslan will make a deeply loyal and affectionate companion for someone who values calm routines, patience, and genuine connection. If you feel you can offer him a stable, quiet life built on understanding and kindness, Aslan may be the perfect addition to your home.
