Introducing the adorable Buster!
This chap enjoys all the simple things in life, like food and a cosy spot on the sofa and fuss from any humans he meets. He is full of character, curiosity and mischief and looking for a home that can offer him the love, loyalty and tummy rubs he deserves. He’s been very sociable with everybody at the centre and is quick to make new friends. He would be more than happy to become part of a family unit with children above the age of 8 years old.
Unfortunately, Buster did arrive at the centre with some of the typical health conditions associated with the French Bulldog/flat faced breed (brachycephalic) and struggled with his breathing. He has recently undergone an operation to help improve this, which he has recovered well from, but his new home will need to be understanding of his needs and willing to tailor his exercise to suit him. Buster is kept happy and healthy with short walks, where he can sniff and socialise, then back home for mental stimulation games and training to use up the remaining energy he may have. He loves toys (tennis balls are his favourite!) and enjoys garden play sessions too.
At this time Buster would benefit from being the only dog in the home, as he does find other dogs rather exciting which doesn’t help with his breathing. He would ideally thrive in a home where he gets lots of attention from his humans and frequent doggy play dates on walks to remain social. As Buster loves his human company, he doesn’t like to be left on his own for too long and currently finds 2-3 hours the right amount of time for naps and snoozing before he would like some more play sessions and belly rubs – this would need to be built up slowly to ensure he is comfortable within his environment.
Our happy little lad is looking for a sofa to call his own. If you can offer him the loving companionship he deserves then please fill out a perfect match form.
