Animal Care Assistant

This role will be responsible for the day to day care and welfare of animals in our new animal centre.

The Animal Care Assistant will be responsible for delivering the highest possible standards of animal welfare and care for every animal in their journey through CDCH, from reception, to assessment and then to rehoming. The post-holder will be responsible for ensuring that every animal experiences optimum care during its time with CDCH. Our ambition is that no abused, neglected or vulnerable animal in our community is without a safe space. We aim to ensure a future where animals can enjoy a life free from distress. We are committed to rehoming as many animals as possible in the most caring and conscientious way.

Fundraising and Marketing Coordinator

We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic, driven candidate with experience in marketing and/or fundraising. This role is a new post due to the growing need for fundraising support. You must be a selfstarter with lots of energy and ideas and be able to work well on your own and as part of a team.

Fundraising Admin Assistant

The Fundraising Admin Assistant will help with many elements of the fundraising department from responding to supporters on many platforms, ensuring our supporter database is up to date and connecting with our regular supporters. This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy fundraising team.

Shop Manager Tetbury Market Place

To work with the retail team, achieve agreed sales and profit targets whilst minimising costs and maintaining a strong presence in the high street to benefit the charity.

Deputy Manager Tetbury Market Place

To assist the Shop Manager to achieve agreed sales and profit targets whilst minimising costs and maintaining a strong presence in the high street to benefit the charity.  To assume full responsibility for all aspects of the shop in the absence of the Shop Manager.

Clothing Department Manager Cirencester Superstore

To be responsible for the clothing department and to assist the Superstore Manager to achieve agreed sales and profit targets whilst minimising costs and maintaining a strong presence in the high street to benefit the charity.  To assume full responsibility for all aspects of the shop and departments in the absence of the Superstore Manager & Furniture Department Manager.

Volunteering

Due to the current Coronavirus pandemic we are unable to take on new volunteers within our centre. It is our priority to ensure that all of our animals are able to receive the best possible animal care, and to achieve this we must minimise any risk to our staff and keep them safe. We hope to be able to re-introduce existing volunteers and recruit new volunteers soon.

Trustees

Cotswolds Dogs and Cats Home is looking for dynamic and experienced professionals to join our committed Board of Trustees and excellent workforce to help shape, lead and develop our organisation into the future. You must have a passion for the welfare of dogs and cats as well as a drive and determination to keep on improving the services we provide. We are especially keen to receive applications from retail, commercial or development specialists.

Shop Volunteer

Various hours at all our shop locations​

To assist the Shop Manager & Deputy Manager to achieve agreed sales and profit targets whilst minimising costs and maintaining a strong presence in the high street to benefit the charity.

 

The post-holder will have a cheerful, confident and friendly approach. You will have good communication skills with a genuine desire to provide an excellent service to all shop users. You will have a keen eye for detail as the handling of cash and maintenance of systems forms a key part of this role.

 

You will show a commitment to the aims of CDCH and possess a willingness and ability to learn and follow direction.

This job has physically active elements. Volunteers are required to maintain a suitable level of fitness to enable them to perform their role effectively.
