We now have 3 male Lurcher X puppies available for adoption.

These pups entered CDCH with their Mother Lollie during the UK’s hottest heatwave. They were in a litter of 5 males and 3 females, keeping in theme of the hot weather they have been named after ice-lollies; Rocket, Zapp, Calippo, Chupa, Vimto, Whippy, Ben & Jerry.

They have just reached 8 weeks old so are ready to go to their forever homes in order to start the crucial stage of training and socialisation with their forever families, away from a kennel environment – any new applicants will need to be available for viewings swiftly after applying and ensure they are able to adopt as soon as we have reached the stage of the process where an adoption is agreed.

Applicants will also need to be available to return to the centre for their 2nd vaccinations on the 9th of September, unless compatible treatment is arranged more locally (this can be discussed in the rehoming conversation). Neutering of the puppies when they reach a suitable age is also part of the adoption agreement – a future return for this to take place will be arranged and is all covered in the adoption cost.

We have enjoyed watching all of the puppies grow and develop their own little personalities during their time at the centre – they have captured the hearts of all the team. As well as being beautiful to look at, with their striking markings and beautiful eyes, they have proven themselves to be super affectionate and as expected with pups, loving of life and any fuss and attention they receive. Their favourite things is to zoom around our outdoor enclosure before turning in to a pile puppies to re-charge their batteries.

Ben, Jerry or Rocket will require a home where someone is around for most of the day as puppy’s require frequent company and interaction throughout, as well as regular visits outdoors to help with toilet training.  It’s important that their new family shows commitment to puppy training and socialisation; to ensure they develop in to happy healthy, well balanced adult dogs. It would be beneficial if their new owner(s) had experience or an understanding of sighthounds, however, this is not essential.

All the puppies could live with children of all ages, so long as they are dog savvy and have an understanding of puppy behaviour. Homes with existing pets will be considered, so long as careful introductions are carried out to ensure it’s positive for the puppy and the other animal within the home.

The adoption fee for our puppies is £600 – this includes a full health check, up to date flea and worming treatments, vaccinations (1&2) and neutering. They are microchipped (updated details on adoption), come with a weeks worth of food and a £25 gift voucher to our centre shop for any chosen essentials.

Please fill out a perfect match form with as much detail as possible to be considered.
