Introducing our lovely lady, Poppy.
If you’re searching for the perfect dog to call your sidekick then look no further! Poppy has an affectionate and loving nature towards humans, and has proven to make a very loyal companion. She is up for whatever her faviourate human(s) want to do, whether that be cuddling on the sofa, playing fetch or venturing out on a countryside walk.
Poppy will thrive in a home that is around for most of the day, as she has shown signs of separation anxiety. Her adopter(s) will need to be willing to work through this behaviour in the home at her own pace. Due to her friendly and gentle temperament she would be suitable to living with children 10 years plus so long as they were dog savvy and respectful. Poppy can be vocal at time due to noise sensitivities so will need a quiet environment with minimal exposure to loud noises to reduce this occurring in the home. She will need someone who is patience and understanding of this, to be able to help reduce her barking.
She’s an active little girl so would benefit from a home that can provide her with daily walks and garden play sessions. She has been social when out on walks with other dogs, but is fairly disinterested in interacting with them (being a typical terrier, smells on the ground are much more important!). At this time, she would be best suited to being the only dog in the home.
Poppy has previously lived with a cat, so has the potential to live with a cat, so long as they’re confident and savvy around dogs. If her new owner(s) had a cat, they will need to be willing to do slow and steady introductions in the home and have provisions in place to keep both animals safe and secure.
