Happy go-lucky Winston is on the search for his forever home!
Winston has a friendly and affectionate nature towards people, and typical of the breed can be bouncy and boisterous with his play style. He thrives in human company so would benefit living with a family that are around for most of the day, however, he could be built up to being left for 2-3 hours over time.
Due to Winston’s breed, he has had issues with his breathing so during his stay at CDCH he has had to have BOAS surgery to enable him to feel more comfortable with light exercise and play. His new family will need to be understanding of this, and ensure his exercise is restricted to a suitable length that he can manage. He will be best suited to a home that are looking for a lovable companion rather than an active outdoorsy dog. Winston’s new family will need to be clued up on other ways to mental stimulate his brain due to his restricted physical exercise.
He is indifferent towards other dogs and doesn’t want much from their company, due to this he would be best suited to a home where he is the only dog. He could enjoy short walks with other well mannered dogs if his new family were social on walks.
Winston will thrive in a calm and relaxed household as he prefers the quieter side to life like a good cuddle on the sofa with a belly scratch! He has the potential to live with teenagers as long as they were dog savvy and understanding of his needs. His goofy and playful nature will not fail to bring laughter into the home.
If you can offer Winston the loving, safe and secure home he deserves then please fill out a perfect match form.
