At the Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home, we share your passion for animals. We have been providing care and support to vulnerable animals in our community for over 80 years.
We work across Gloucestershire and support over 1,000 animals each year living in our community. We find wonderful families for pets who need a new home.
CDCH also provides access to veterinary treatment for pets living with financially vulnerable families through our subsidised veterinary clinics, ensuring no animal suffers because of cost.
Because rescuing one animal may not change the world, but for that animal their world is changed forever.
We like to contribute to the care of those animals less fortunate than our own, and making sure that contribution can continue after we’re gone is a great comfort.
CDCH’s free will-writing service has made it so easy to get our affairs in order and to know that our legacy will be what we want it to be.
All you will need to do is inform your solicitor that you wish to leave a gift to CDCH.
Your gift can either be:

There is no limit to the number of alterations or codicils, you can add to a Will.
Making changes to your Will is simple. Your existing Will provider or solicitor will be able to make changes to your Will.
You can add a gift to the Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home in your Will, at any time.
Why not do it now?
Your gift will help us plan the future and enable us to help hundreds of animals for years to come.
CDCH works in partnership with the Goodwill Partnership, a trusted free Wills provider, to offer you a personalised free Wills service.
You can choose to complete your free Will over the telephone or with a trained counsellor at your home.
Either way, each legally binding Will is checked by legal experts and can be updated.
There is no obligation to remember us in your Will. But, CDCH gratefully accepts any gift you wish to leave us.
You can choose to leave CDCH a percentage of your estate or a specific amount.
Your gift will enable us to continue rescuing vulnerable pets and supporting them to find wonderful forever homes. As we have done for over 80 years.
For the past 80 years, the Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home has worked very hard to provide the highest standard of care to vulnerable, abused, and neglected animals in the community.
As a charity, we work with these animals to ensure they are fully rehabilitated and confident enough to go off to their forever home.
Your gift will enable us to continue supporting those animals.
You will also be contributing towards a weekly low-cost clinic which provides access to veterinary services for those on means-tested benefits, ensuring no animal is left untreated because of cost.
Although the Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home is proud to be part of the independent RSPCA branch network, we would like to emphasise that we are an independently funded branch that depends on the generosity of the community, so each and every gift no matter how large or small is deeply valued.
Your Will is a way for you to set out how you want to be remembered. Your last opportunity to show your loved ones what you value.
By including a gift to the Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home, you will let your love for animals live on.
During our lifetime, we often wish we could donate to help animals in need. But, due to financial commitments, that is not always possible.
A gift in your Will, which can either be a percentage of your estate or a specific amount, is your opportunity to give more than you might ever have been able to give in your lifetime.
By adding one last gift to support the Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home in your Will, you can help more animals heal and have their new beginning.
We work in partnership with two reputable Will-writing providers so you can choose the one that suits you.
The Goodwill Partnership
The process of making your Will with the Goodwill Partnership is very simple. After an initial telephone consultation, a highly skilled counsellor visits you in your home to take your Will instructions at a time convenient to you.
CDCH gratefully accepts gifts in Wills.
However, you are under no obligation to leave a gift in your Will to us.
Any gift you decide to leave CDCH will make a great difference to local animals in the future.
Even a small percentage of your estate can help ensure we’re always here for the animals who need us.
No problem, you can still choose to leave a gift. There are many instances where you may need to change your Will. Our free Will provider will be able to guide you through this process and help you write a new Will.
Yes!
The amount of Inheritance Tax owed is determined by your estate’s value. If you qualify for Inheritance Tax, leaving a legacy gift to CDCH can lower your tax rate. This way, you can leave more for your loved ones – and support animals in need.
