Hello from Chase!
Chase is an absolute gentleman!! All the staff have fallen in love with him as his best characteristic is that he just doesn’t stop wagging his tail!
He has good manners when walking on the lead and knows many basic commands that he would be eager to show off to his new adopter(s). Even though Chase loves to snooze (his favourite past time is napping on the sofa next to his handler), it doesn’t stop him from exploring countryside walks with his human companions; he provides the best of both worlds!
Chase is keen to make friends with new people especially if they have a tasty treat! Once he’s built a relationship with someone he is incredibly loyal, loving and affectionate; and play time with his favourite human companion is something he always looks forward to! He would be best suited to an adult only home or a home with teenage children as he prefers the quieter side to life.
Like any dog, Chase craves human company, however, he would be ok to be left for 2-4 hours in the home.
He’s a real foodie so enjoys any games or training that involve a treat at the end of it! Chase proves madness to the old myth ‘you can’t teach an old dog new tricks’, as he loves to show off his commands and learn new ones. Once he’s done having fun, he loves to snuggle up on the sofa for an evening chill.
He has proven to be polite when seeing other dogs but can be apprehensive about face to face greetings at times so will benefit from a home that are understanding of this and are willing to build on his socialisation. Due to this, he would be best suited to a home where he is the only dog.
If you’re searching for a true companion, then look no further than Chase!
