Kiwi is a beautiful 1-year-old female Staffie mix with a resilient spirit. She arrived in our care at 11 months of age, after being found living her young life in a small dirty crate. Despite a neglectful start to life, she has come on leaps and bounds during her time at CDCH, and is ready to find a loving forever family…
Ideal Home: Kiwi is in search of a calm and understanding family (children 15 years +) where she can learn about the joys of life that she has missed out on. She may be initially nervous around new people, but it doesn’t take her long to make friends and once she builds trust, she will happily show off her goofy side. Due to this she will require multiple visits to the centre to get to know her prior to her adoption.
Kiwi’s new family will need to be patient and committed to allowing her time to adjust and settle in to the home environment, as she may find it overwhelming to begin with – she will initially need someone to be around for a good part of the day. She would benefit from a quiet home, as the only pet, with minimal comings and goings from strangers.
On meeting Kiwi, her bonkers personality may fool you, however, she a very clever pup who has shown great response to training and has been absorbing all of the new tricks staff have been teaching her – after arriving with no training, she has quickly mastered ‘sit’, ‘down’ and ‘touch’, and is excelling in recall classes too (being a huge foody helps of course).
Considerations:
This girl has built some wonderful bonds with staff, becoming a very loving and affectionate girl who adores fuss and attention, so if you are keen to shower her with love, build on her experiences and give her the life she deserves, let us know by sending a perfect match form our way…
