Joey is on the search for his forever home!
This lovable chap has found himself in rescue through no fault of his own, and is ready to start a new adventure with his forever family. Joey would thrive in a family that can offer him plenty of physical and mental stimulation as he is a mix of two high energy breeds; Jack Russell and Collie.
He has proven to be a social butterfly as he’s happy to greet new people and other dogs. Joey has been eager to play and interact with other dog’s during his stay at CDCH so does have the potential to live with another dog in the home, however, this isn’t essential. He can be over the top and excitable at times, so the existing dog in the home would need to be tolerant of this.
*Please Note: Joey is not currently neutered as he is not of age, because of this we would not consider any home with a pre existing unneutered bitch. Joey will also need to be returned back to the centre when he is old enough to be castrated.
As he is still young and learning, it’s vital that his new family are keen to take on board basic training and continue with his socialisation. His new family would need to show a commitment to dog training classes, and he may even like the possibility of advanced training like agility or scent work when he was of age!
Joey has previously lived with children so has the potential to live in a household with children of 6 years plus. The children would need to be calm, respectful and dog savvy.
He’s shown a love for the outdoors so would be best suited to a family who are out-going and love the great outdoors. He’s make the perfect companion for a mountain walk or a trip to the beach!
