This beautiful girl is Nana – our Weimaraner X!
At only 1 year and 2 months old, Nana has already had two homes in her young life and is now looking for a forever family to give her the stable future she deserves!
Despite her age, Nana is a giant puppy at heart, full of big, bouncy energy! She has a gorgeous character and makes her handlers laugh with her goofy ways. She is a sociable girl who has been happy to meet all the staff here at the centre, often greeting the with a waggy tail and allowing some fuss, but once she has built a bond with you, she can get quite excitable and jump up to say hi, so her adopters would need to be confident with large energetic breeds (she would not be suitable to a home with young children).
Nana is playful and enjoys her toys, especially the squeaky ones! She will need lots of exercise and mental stimulation, therefore would suit an active family who are keen to include her in adventures, as well as give her plenty of enrichment outlets during the day to keep her brain busy. Nana has shown signs of separation anxiety so will need someone to be around for most of the day initially, before slowly building her up to being left on her own.
Although Nana has politely met other dogs while here at the centre, she would benefit from slow and careful introductions to calm and well mannered dogs going forward, until she has improved on her basic training. She is an intelligent lady, who just needs some incentive to learn, usually in the form of a very tasty treat. She can be strong on the lead, so her adopters should be happy to manage this and dedicated to engaging her with training at home, which is important due to her size, and to ensure she remains a well balanced dog.
Nana will need to return to the centre at a later date to be neutered which will be included as part of her adoption. If you are located more than 1.5 hours from the centre, then a neuter voucher can be provided towards the cost of the procedure being carried out at your local vet, to which proof will need to be provided.
If you have enough space to offer this big ball of fun, and feel you can give her the life and adventure she deserves, then let us know by completing a perfect match form below:
