This soulful face belongs to Crumpet – our 2 year old French Bulldog.
He is a charming and affectionate boy with a unique personality. While he may be a bit reserved in new environments and around unfamiliar people, once he gets to know you, he transforms into a bundle of energy and playfulness. He is a loyal companion who forms strong bonds with those he trusts, often seeking reassurance from familiar humans. Crumpet has displayed some resource guarding behaviours around his ‘safe space’, therefore, we are seeking an experienced, patient and understanding forever home. He would thrive in a calm and predictable adult only environment.
Once Crumpet feels comfortable, his true playful nature shines through. He loves interactive play, short walks, and cuddle sessions. His ideal family will engage in activities that cater to his energetic side while respecting his need for gradual adjustment.
Crumpet is a smart pup and responds well to positive reinforcement. Basic training and socialization will be essential to help build his confidence in various situations. Patience and consistency will go a long way in helping him adapt and thrive in his new home.
Crumpet was bought in to our care suffering from a chronic allergic skin condition, which had been left untreated, causing severe irritation and soreness. Since arriving in our care his skin has drastically improved and he is looking comfortable once more, however, this will require ongoing management in the home to avoid flare ups – this would include monthly flea treatments, potentially medicated baths and a sensitive diet. Our vet will be providing all the necessary advice required prior to an adoption, however, his future family should be committed to maintaining his skincare routine and potential veterinary visits to ensure his optimal health and well-being.
Crumpet is ready to leave his past behind to search for a new family who are committed to offering him the chance to be the happy and carefree dog once more – if this is the life you can offer, then let us know by completing a perfect match form below:
