Molly is our adorable 2-year-old Jack Russell terrier, who despite her small stature, has managed to make a big impression on the team here at CDCH!
Molly was bought in to our care through no fault of her own, and initially found kennel life a little daunting! However, after receiving lots of love and reassurance from staff, we are pleased to see her true personality and playful nature coming through – a cheeky one at that!
Ideal Home:
Due to her initial nerves, she is ideally looking for a calm, quiet and nurturing environment, with minimal comings and goings, to help her feel settled. With a little patience and a gentle approach, we are sure her adopters will get to see the charming character she is known for, which includes, carrying her favourite toys and ball chase, as well as cuddling up for some quality snuggle time – she is quite the affectionate girl!
Molly has enjoyed some lovely countryside walks while at CDCH, and is always raring to go, however, she will need some connection training, as she can make herself heard when she feels a little unsure – usually alarm barking at other dogs or when she is spooked. A home with access to less populated walking routes, will minimise stress and help her adopters to slowly build her confidence through gradual exposure to new people, places and socialisation, using positive reinforcement.
Considerations:
We have found that this sweet girl struggles to maintain her levels of B12, therefore, her adopters will need to seek ongoing supplements, and potentially monthly injections from their vet.
