Casper can be timid initially so will need an adopter who is understanding and will give him the time to come out of his shell. Once he gets to know you, he becomes incredibly affectionate and loves to be fussed and climb all over you. His favourite thing is sitting on the top of the sofa right by your head!

Casper is still a young boy with bundles of energy, who loves his walks and finding new adventures. He is looking for a family to show him the ropes and help to build his confidence in the big wide world. He is a super playful pup who is always up for a game a fetch, he has a particular love for squeaky toys.

Casper would thrive in a quiet household with minimal disturbances, either adult-only or with children of 15 years and over. He came into our care after squabbling with another dog, therefore he will do best without the stress of sharing his space with other pets.

While he is avoidant of other dogs when out and about, with time and patience, Casper can learn to be more comfortable around them. He needs an owner who will help him navigate these situations and help him to possibly make some doggy friends in the future.

As a Shih Tzu, Casper has a long coat that requires regular grooming and care. His new owner must be committed to providing him with the necessary coat care to keep him looking and feeling his best. (Casper will be groomed by CDCH prior to an agreed adoption)
