Zoey is a sweet 8 year old Chihuahua, who is now looking for a new human companion (or two) of her own!
Although she can be shy on her first meet, Zoey quite quickly forms strong bonds with the people caring for her, and once she does, loves nothing more then being in their company, whether that be joining them for countryside walks, or snoozing on their lap. Zoey is a clever girl, and has learnt some new skills during her time here, often showing off her bravery on our agility balance beam, and is super attentive when there is a tasty treat involved.
Ideal Home:
Zoey have been through a difficult transition in to the centre, which has been quite stressful, and she is finding it hard to settle in to kennel life. She initially arrived alongside two other Chihuahua’s and although is great friends with Linda (also available), will thrive on her own, as long as she has a loving family to dote on her. She is now looking for a home which can offer her a calm environment with minimal comings and goings, allowing her to settle stress free. Ideally she would also like her adopter(s) to be around for a good part of the day, to avoid long periods alone, as she does love the company of her favourite people and gets upset when alone.
As Zoey is a little tentative of new people, she would benefit from adopters who are understanding of her reservations, and keen to help her grow in confidence. She would be best suited to a home with no young children to worry her, although, older children (15 years +) who can been respectful of her space will be considered. Zoey is potentially able to live with another small, calm and friendly dog, who won’t mind sharing their space, as she does enjoy to snuggle in to the same bed at night.
Considerations:
Zoey requires daily eye drops for dry eye, which will be needed for the remainder of her life – this is a low cost medication which can be easily purchased with no prescription required (although regular vet checks are advised).
