After starting his life in a pet shop, Pie didn’t have the chance to build positive relationships with humans early on, so as a result, is a little under-socialised and prefers his human carers to be hands off. Due to this, he is now seeking an experienced, and understanding Hamster loving home!

This little chap has a curious and intelligent character – he loves exploring his enclosure, hunting for his daily treats and burning off some energy on his exercise wheel. While he’s not a fan of being handled, he will often come out of his den to investigate when he has human company, but being nocturnal, mostly enjoys naps throughout the day, to prepare him for all the activity at night.

As Hamsters only have a small lifespan (2-3 years), Pie is really hoping to find an adopter who is understanding of his need for a more independent lifestyle, and who are happy to provide him a spacious and enriching enclosure that allows him to dig, forage, and explore to his heart’s content.

Pie may not be the ideal pet for a young family, but we know there’s a special person out there who will adore him just the way he is. If you’re an experienced hamster enthusiast looking for a quirky and independent companion, Pie could be your perfect match.

(The minimum enclosure size for a Hamster is recommended at 100cm x 50cm x 50cm
