Duchess is a sweet 5 year old English Bulldog who arrived in our care alongside her 2 nursing pups (aptly named Victoria & Albert), due to welfare concerns.

The pups have reached two weeks of age and are growing stronger by the day, thanks to Duchess being the doting mum we had hoped, however, the kennel environment is no life for a nursing mum, so we are appealing for a special foster home for them all. We are looking for an experienced and dedicated foster family to provide Duchess and her pups with the love, comfort, and quiet space they need during this delicate time.

What They Need from Their Foster Home:

Time and Commitment: Foster carers will need to be home for most of the day to manage their ongoing care and provide daily observations, including weighing the pups, monitoring their progress, and tending to their general needs.
Calm and Quiet Environment: Duchess deserves a serene space to help her feel safe and relaxed. The foster family will need to create a comfortable area where Duchess can care for her pups, free from stress and distractions. An adult only home will be ideal, however, older children (15 years +), who can be understanding of her needs may be considered.
Other pets: Duchess and pups are a little vulnerable at this time and not fully assessed around other pets, so they would be best suited to a home with no other pets. We may consider another animal in the home if the set-up allows them to be kept completely separate and safe.
Flexibility for Appointments: You’ll need to be able to attend vet check-ups at our centre (GL2 7AS) if required.

Duchess is a wonderful mum who is deeply devoted to her pups, and she deserves to feel supported during this time. By opening your home to them, you’ll play a vital role in giving this family the best start in life.
