Pepper is a delightful cockapoo, who is searching for a loving human (or two!) who can give her all the attention she craves.
About Pepper:
Pepper is a sociable and friendly pup who thrives on the companionship of her favourite humans. She is the perfect mix of adventurous and cuddly, as she loves to be involved in daily outings, walks to meet her doggy friends, and sofa cuddles at the end of a busy day.
What kind of family and home am I looking for?
Pepper forms strong bonds, and hates to miss out, so she can get quite upset when left on her own and will howl and cry – due to this, she would be best suited to a family who have the time to spend with her, and is happy to be included in their day to day life. This will allow time her adopters time to gradually teach her that it’s ok to be left alone for short periods.
Children are known to make Pepper feel anxious, so families with young children in the home or frequently visiting, are unfortunately not right for her – older teens may be considered.
Health and Support:
Pepper has shown mild guarding behaviours around toys, but this is easily managed with understanding and care. Adopters will need to be happy to take guidance from the CDCH team with on-going management. For this reason, we are also looking to place her as the only pet, to avoid the possibility of disagreements over items they may not want to share.
Health checks have identified that Pepper has a heart murmur – the CDCH veterinary team are currently investigating this, and will be looking to provide full guidance to anyone considering her adoption. Her family will need to be aware that having this condition, may require regular check ups with a vet to monitor and re-assess, exercise management, to ensure she isn’t overly exerting herself, and potentially on-going medication to manage the condition. Having a known medical condition, will likely impact the ability to fully insure Pepper, therefore, this will need to be taken in to financial consideration.
Pepper is a sweet and devoted companion, who is deserving of a second chance at a forever family, who are willing to accept her quirks. Complete a perfect match form below, if you are keen to give her the home she needs.
