Mickey

Mickey is a gorgeous large black tom cat, with beautiful big green eyes.

He arrived at CDCH as an over friendly stray, after trying to make himself comfortable in the home of another, rather unhappy cat. With no owner to claim him, Mickey is now seeking a new family to give him a warm roof over his head.

Understandably, Mickey was a little apprehensive after his arrival on cattery, where his space was a lot smaller than the open fields he was used to, however, he has settled rather quickly and it’s obvious he is happy to have fuss and attention from humans, proving himself to be quite the purr monster!

Now settled, Mickey is a social and friendly boy, but likes his independence too, so may be a great match for a working family. While on cattery, he has been very happy to engage in some fuss and head rubs, before, taking himself off to find a good nap spot, or watching the world go by through his window.

Although we don’t know Mickey’s full history, having spent lots of time outdoors before his arrival at CDCH, we know he is eager to be able to get back outside for new adventures, so his adopters should be happy to give him regular/easy outdoor access once settled. Without this, he may become stressed and can get over stimulated during playtime due to frustration.

Mickey is ideally looking for a home with plenty of safe green spaces to explore, as this is what he has been used to. Saying this, it’s clear he seeks human company too, so we have no doubt he will be a lovable family man once fully settled in.
