Daisy is our adorable 7-year-old terrier, who despite her small stature, has managed to make a big impression on the team here at CDCH!

Daisy was bought into our care through no fault of her own, and is finding kennel life a little daunting! What Daisy really needs is a calm, understanding family who can give her the time and patience she deserves to settle in and adjust to a quieter, more stable life. The noise and hustle of a kennel environment is proving to be a little overwhelming, and when she feels anxious, she can vocalise this so will need further support to help her adjust and feel safe.

Daisy absolutely loves her walks and having lots of opportunities to sniff and explore new areas will benefit her greatly and enrich her life. She is still learning what toys are, and with encouragement she is slowly figuring out how to play. Daisy loves cuddling up for some quality snuggle time – she is quite the affectionate girl so is looking for a home that doesn’t mind their sharing their sofa with her.

Daisy could potentially live with another well-matched, calm dog, pending introductions. The right canine companion might even help her feel more secure in her new home.

She’s not a dog who enjoys being left alone for long periods, so she’ll need a home where someone is around most of the time to help her build up to being left on her own gradually.

Considerations:

Daisy unfortunately came to us with alopecia around her back likely due to a flea allergy, she does struggle with itchy skin so is currently on medication and medicated baths to help her feel more comfortable and improve her skin.

As a long-coated breed Daisy will need regular trips to the groomers to ensure her coat stays in a healthy condition. We would advise gradual introductions to grooming and positive training methods as she kind find baths a little scary.

With love and support, we know she’ll blossom into the happy, relaxed dog she’s meant to be. If you think you could be the right match for Daisy please complete the perfect match form below to register your interest…
