Meet Hagrid, a 5-year-old Ragdoll with soulful eyes, and a sensitive heart.
Hagrid has a history of being a loving and affectionate companion, and it’s clear that, in the right environment, he has so much love to give. Unfortunately, he’s struggling to adjust to life in the cattery, and the stress of being separated from his home has taken a toll on him. Understandably, he’s been displaying signs of frustration, particularly in and around his cat pod, which we believe is a reaction to his environment and not a reflection of his true nature.
Hagrid is a cat who loves his creature comforts. He enjoys watching the world go by from a sunny window and having access to multiple cosy resting spots around the home. He likes to choose where and when to relax, and values a peaceful routine. Like many Ragdolls, Hagrid is deeply sensitive to change and disruption. He will need a calm, understanding home where he can feel safe and take things at his own pace.
A quiet, adult-only household or with cat savvy children aged 16 and over, where he doesn’t need to share his space with other pets
A home with people who are experienced with sensitive or emotionally complex cats and are willing to give him the time, space, and patience he needs to feel secure again.
A home with plenty of cosy spots to rest, and access to window views – something he particularly enjoys. He will need secure outdoor access once he’s settled ideally in a more rural space as he isn’t particularly road savvy.
Adopters who understand that Hagrid’s current behaviours are driven by stress, and who are ready to help him rediscover his calm, affectionate side – without expectations of him being a lap cat.
If you have a calm home and a kind heart, and are ready to offer Hagrid the chance he deserves, we’d love to hear from you.
