Meet Evie 🐾

Evie is a beautiful 13-year-old Jack Russell who came into our care following the very sad passing of her owner. She is a sweet, gentle soul who is still finding her feet after such a big change in her life.

Evie is a shy and sensitive girl with a naturally nervous disposition, so she’s looking for a calm, understanding home where she can feel safe and supported in her golden years. New people and unfamiliar situations can be a little overwhelming for her at first, but with patience and kindness, Evie really blossoms. Once she gets to know you, Evie bonds quickly and deeply. She is incredibly affectionate and seeks reassurance by staying close to her people – she’s very much a little shadow who loves to follow you from room to room. She finds comfort in companionship and enjoys simply being near those she trusts.

Evie is currently in a foster home, which has helped her gain confidence and learn that the world can still be a kind place. She loves her home comforts and is happiest curled up in a warm, cosy bed for much of the day. That said, don’t let her age fool you – Evie still has a good amount of energy and thoroughly enjoys her walks.

Due to her sensitive nature, Evie can be startled by loud or unfamiliar noises, so a quieter household would suit her best. She would thrive with adopters who understand nervous dogs and are happy to let her settle at her own pace, offering reassurance when she needs it and supporting her through her golden years.
