Introducing Baby, she’s a sweet natured 2 year old Whippet.

Baby has a gentle, sweet but timid temperament which has melted all teams hearts here at CDCH. Baby entered the shelter in a sorry state, along with her mum and sister – they were emaciated and had poor body/coat conditions. They’re all now on their journey back to full health and gaining weight nicely.

She will need a home that has a calm and gentle atmosphere as this will allow her confidence to blossom further. She has made strong bonds quickly with people here at the centre, and has proven to be people orientated. Her cheeky and playful personality is slowly starting to shine through as she becomes familiar with her surroundings which will only improve further in a stable loving home. She has the potential to live with older doggy savvy children so long as they matched her calm energy.

It’s clear that Baby has had little life experiences such as being walked on a lead so her new family will need to be prepared to take on basic training and confidence building. Due to having minimal socialisation she can be apprehensive about unfamiliar dogs; it would be beneficial for her new home to have access to other calm, quiet and sociable dogs to build her confidence with. At this time, she would benefit from being the only dog in the home.

Baby has enjoyed experiencing the new sights, sound and smells the world around her has to offer. She will make a perfect walking and sofa snuggle companion – she has the best of both worlds to offer you! If you feel you could offer Baby the home she is looking for then please fill out a perfect match form below.
