This cute gang of kittens, have all been lovingly bought up by their gorgeous mum Barley in the care of CDCH! Cane, Corn, Maize, Rye, Sugar & Wheat are now reaching 7 weeks of age, and after being weened from their mum, are all eager to fly the CDCH nest to embark on some new adventures in their forever homes.

We will be looking to rehome these cuties in pairs – the benefits of this are:

  • They can learn how to behave properly (in ways we can’t teach them!) – kittens play fight with their sibling and by doing so, quickly learn what is acceptable in terms of biting, nipping and gnawing (all very normal kitten activities!)
  • You can relax knowing that they have a 24/7 play-partner! This is important as kittens are extremely playful – and bored kittens – aren’t happy kittens. Bored kittens are also more likely to cause trouble around the house.
  • Siblings already know each other, so you don’t have to worry about introducing them and hoping they get on. (Older cats & kittens don’t always take to each other.)
  • By having a friend at all times, hopefully they wouldn’t feel too lost or confused when settling in to a new home.
  •  It doesn’t always mean double everything!  In fact, by having two, a lot of the ‘effort’ involved with caring for a kitten in terms of play and affection and training is helped by the other!

They are suitable for homes with children, and other pets may be considered, so long as their adopters are happy to provide safe spaces and gentle introductions in the home.

As they are young, therefore, only just learning about the world around them, we are looking for adopters who are happy to support their introductions and socialisation and provide them with lots of activities/opportunities for play. Once settled, they would love to safely explore the outdoors too.

Rehoming fees (inclusive of initial health checks, vaccinations, microchip, neutering and 4 weeks free insurance) is £275 for a pair of kittens. These guys will be ready to leave the centre mid October, and their adopters should be willing to return to the centre for their 2nd vaccination, and neuter early November.
