Introducing Blue, the gorgeous 4 year old Whippet.

Blue entered the shelter in a sorry state, along with her mum and sister – they were emaciated and had poor body/coat conditions. They’re all now on their journey back to full health and gaining weight nicely. Blue’s new home will need to be committed to continuing the current diet plan she is on at the centre to ensure she is gaining weight appropriately.

This sweet girl has a gentle nature and will thrive in a calm environment that will allow her confidence to bloom. She could live with older dog savvy children so long as they were calm and relaxed like her. She will make an incredibly loyal family companion as long as she’s repaid with lots of sofa snuggles as this is her favourite past time!

Blue has been indifferent with other dogs here at the centre, we believe this is due to a lack of exposure and confidence as she is showing some interest in wanting to initiate play. She will benefit from a home that could provide her with plenty of opportunities to socialise with other calm well mannered dogs to broaden her circle of friends and build on her confidence. At this time, we feel she is best suited to being the only dog.

As Blue has lived a sheltered life up until now it’s been joyful to watch her excited about the world opening up around her and experiencing new things! Her favourite part has been having the freedom to zoom around our secure off lead paddock.
