Meet Buddy – the 5 year old Frenchie X Pug!

Buddy is a rather cool guy, who has quickly stolen the hearts of staff at CDCH, and is hopeful of soon finding some wonderful adopters who will give him a cosy spot in their home.

He’s a friendly with everyone he meets and loves nothing more than being by your side, and of course, getting fuss and attention where he can. Being an easy going boy, Buddy will likely fit in nicely to most family homes, so long as there is someone around for a good part of the day to keep him company initially, as he can get sad when left and may need some support when settling in.

Day to day, Buddy walks lovely on the lead and is not phased by the hustle and bustle of his surroundings, so won’t mind joining his new family on days out where he can. Having said this, he does prefer shorter, easy going walks, where he can plod at his own pace, as being a brachycephalic breed, he can tire easily or struggle with the heat. Due to this, if Buddy has caught your eye, you will need to keep this in mind when considering if he is the right match for you.

Buddy has been a very polite boy when it comes to meeting other dogs, so may not mind making some new canine friends, or even sharing his home with another dog if the right match came along. He is also proven to not be a threat to smaller animals, so may be suitable to a home with an existing friendly cat or smaller animal, so long as positive and gradual introductions are made and they are all provided their own safe space.  Although Buddy is great with children of all ages, he has been known to be a little bouncy when they engage him in play, so any children in the home will need to be dog savvy and comfortable with this.
