Meet Buffy: Your Loyal and Loving German Shepherd Companion!

Are you looking for a devoted, playful, and eager-to-please furry friend? Meet Buffy, our 1-year-old German Shepherd who has overcome a challenging start in life and is now ready to find her forever home.

Buffy’s early life was spent confined to a crate, but she hasn’t let that define her. Despite her rough beginnings, she has grown into an incredibly people-oriented and friendly dog who is always excited to make new human friends. Her love for toys and food makes her a joy to train, and she’s always ready to show off her skills in exchange for a tasty treat or a fun play session.

Buffy is an energetic and enthusiastic dog who sometimes comes across as excitable and over the top. She would greatly benefit from basic training and learning some manners to help her channel her energy in positive ways. Due to her strong and boisterous nature, Buffy would do best in a home with dog-savvy teenage children who can handle her exuberance.

Special Needs and Care:

Buffy has hip dysplasia, a condition that requires ongoing management. She has already started hydrotherapy sessions, which she absolutely loves, and these will need to be continued in her new home to help manage her condition. Despite this, Buffy’s spirit remains unbroken, and she is determined to live life to the fullest.

Only Pet: Buffy needs to be the only animal in the home so the focus can be solely on her. However, she has the potential to enjoy the company of other doggy friends in time, but her confidence will need to be built gradually.

Toilet Training: Due to her early life in a crate, Buffy has struggled with toilet training since arriving at the kennels. Continued patience and training in the home will be necessary to help her improve.

Active and Engaged Family: Buffy would thrive in an active household where she can get plenty of physical and mental stimulation, although, due to her hip dysplasia, she will need her walks to be tailored to her needs, as she can get tired quite quickly. Her love for toys and food will make her a fun and engaging companion for the right family.

Buffy is more than just a pet; she’s a loyal companion who has a lot of love to give. She has shown remarkable resilience and a strong will to overcome her early life challenges. With the right care, training, and plenty of love, Buffy will be a fantastic addition to a family who understands her needs and is ready to provide her with the forever home she deserves.
