Meet our handsome and gentle floof, Carlos!
About Carlos:
Carlos is a very sweet soul who is super keen to find a warm and loving forever home, where he can enjoy company, lap cuddles, lots of fuss on demand and perhaps even a tranquil garden to potter in. After originally arriving alongside his brother Kiko, both boys are now seeking individual homes, with loving families who can cater to their specific needs (but don’t worry, as although they are brothers, they don’t seem too sad to getting all the attention to themselves).
Carlos is always happy to receive fuss from his carers, often eager to come out if his pod and say hello. He will make friends even quicker for a super tasty treat! He is a confident kitty, who despite being classed as a ‘mature’ cat, loves to explore his surroundings and stretch his legs with a gentle tour of the cattery.
What kind of family is Carlos looking for?
Carlos has experienced some additional medical needs, as detailed below – due to this, is ideally looking for a calm and quiet home, without the worry of other pets (unless you wish to adopt him with his brother Kiko, who he is quite happy to share a home with). Carlos will need lots of cosy spots to rest in, which are easily accessible, and would prefer to have some human companionship through the day.
Health & Support:
Carlos arrived at the centre in poor condition, with lots of uncomfortable fur matting, after receiving a trim from the vet team, he is now much happier in his skin and has undergone a dental, to ensure his teeth are nice and clean.
Carlos has shown some weakness in his hind legs since his arrival at the centre, which has been assessed with the veterinary team. Although, there is no specific diagnosis at this time, this may be a degenerative condition, which will likely require further consideration and monitoring in the home. The CDCH veterinary team will be give appropriate guidance to any adopters considering Carlos’s future care, and we may be open to discuss on-going support and guidance.
Could you give Carlos a home?
If you have Persian shaped hole in your life, and can offer Carlos the understanding and caring home environment he is looking for, then please complete a perfect match form below.
Due to Carlos’s medical needs, we are aware it may take him a little longer to find the right forever home, so to avoid a long stay in our cattery, we are also considering potential foster homes, where he can enjoy a family environment while awaiting further assessment or a suitable adopter to reach out. If you are unable to provide a forever home catering to his needs, but would be willing to work with CDCH to give him the chance of a better future, then please detail your preference to foster within your application.
