Introducing our golden oldie Charlie,

This gorgeous girl has unfortunately found herself in rescue at the age of 15. She is looking for someone that is able to spoil her and give her a happy retirement home in her final years.

Charlie has a friendly and affectionate nature towards any humans she meets, especially if they are prepared to give her a tummy tickle! She may be 15 years old, but she’s still young at heart and enjoys frequent potters around the countryside and play sessions with her faviourate toys. Charlie prefers the quieter side to life so needs a calm and loving environment that can provide this; she could potentially live with older children as long as they were dog savvy and respectful of her quiet time.

She has been disinterested by other dogs when out on walks and doesn’t gain anything from their presence, so would be best suited to a home where she is the only dog. She has previously lived with a cat so has the potential to live with one so long as her adopter(s) were prepared to do slowly and steady introductions.

She will thrive in a home that are around for most of the day to provide her with the human companionship she craves. Her new family will need to be considerate of her age, by providing adequate exercise and medical needs if required. She may need guidance on housetraining in the early stages as she can take time to adjust to a new environment.

Charlie will make the best companion for someone who is looking for a loyal and affectionate canine friend. If you feel you could offer Charlie with the forever home she deserves for her retirement years then please fill out a perfect match form.
