Meet our delightful senior boy who is on the look out for a comfy spot to call his own.
Crunchy is a sweet Chihuahua who arrived at the centre after sadly losing his previous owner. Being 12 years of age, we have found he prefers the quieter side of life and believe he would make a great companion for someone who is looking for the same! He ‘s a chilled character who is quite happy relaxing in the company of a human, and if there is a lap to curl up on, even better!
Don’t let his age fool you – he’s a spritely chap who still enjoys his strolls out and about which involve lots of exploring with his nose, however due to his little legs, would be more suited to shorter walks in between pottering in the garden or sitting and watching the world go by, with lots of time in between for daily naps.
Crunchy can be a little reserved when he meets new people, but has proven that he builds bonds quickly and will likely check in on what his new family are doing once in the home. Saying this, he is also quite happy when being left for short periods of time.
Being small, Crunchy does struggle with stairs, so would like a home with easy access so that he can get out and about of his own accord – although he will tolerate being picked up, it does unsettle him, so would like to remain on four legs as much as possible. He would be best suited to a calm and quiet home with no children younger than 14 years of age and with someone who is around most of the time for company. He has also shown no interest in getting to know other dogs, so would like to be the only one, however, may be able to live with a respectful cat if they are dog friendly.
