Ideal Home:
A home with a companion rabbit and plenty of space to run and hop

Meet Dave – the most adorable ball of fluff who is hoping to find a home with another bunny for companionship!

This fluffy boy has a super sweet nature but can be nervous initially so will need time and space to adapt to his new home. He came into our care as he was unfortunately being bullied by his siblings which has affected his confidence and he is looking for a bunny mate who will accept him. Dave is currently in foster care and has been slowly coming out of his shell and showing his affectionate side, however he much prefers to be fussed on his own terms. Dave would cope much better in a quiet home as he can become spooked by loud noises and busy environments.

As Dave is neutered and vaccinated, he could likely get on with another friendly neutered male or female rabbit providing they are bonded appropriately – his adopters will need to be confident in carrying out a gradual introduction during the bonding process, and have suitable accommodation for him during this time. Dave currently enjoys daily opportunities to explore his outdoor run and has lots of space to hop around in, however, he will likely adapt well to living indoors too, should a suitable set-up and environment be provided.

Due to his long coat, Dave will need regular grooming in his new home to ensure he remains clean and comfortable, avoiding matts and dirt build up in his fur – adopters will need to carry out gentle brushing once he is settled in.

Adoption information:

  • Accommodation: The recommended accommodation size for a pair of bunnies is a single enclosed area of at least 3m x 2m by 1m high (this can include the sleeping quarters) – you can find out lots of handy information about Rabbit housing in the following link: Rabbit Housing – The Rabbit Awareness Action Group
  • Adoption fee: A single rabbit is £70 to adopt – this is inclusive of initial health checks, vaccination, a routine Xeno mite treatment and neutering.
