Introducing Dottie,

This gorgeous little girl has a gentle and calm nature so prefers the quieter things in life. She enjoys a potter around the countryside taking in all the sights and smells, but her faviourate part of the day is snuggling up on the sofa.

Dottie just adores belly rubs; and if you stop she’s not afraid to instruct you to start again by gently pawing at your hand! She thrives from human affection and will benefit from someone who is around for most of the day to keep her company. As Dottie can be timid at times, she would be best suited to an adult only home or a home with quiet teenage children.

She takes everything in her stride, and has met plenty of other people and dogs while out socialising. She has the potential to live with a calm older dog, however, we think she would thrive in a home where she is the only dog so all the attention can be on her!

Dottie arrived at the centre with inflamed skin, along with an incredibly matted coat. Her new owner(s) will need to be prepared to ensure Dottie is regularly groomed so that her coat condition is correctly maintained.

She has shown signs of separation anxiety, and has become incredibly attached to her main handlers in the short time she’s been here. Due to this, her new owners will need to be around for most of the day. It would be beneficial if you had experience with separation anxiety, along with being prepared to take on the desensitisation training needed to help her overcome these anxieties.

She will provide someone with endless companionship and loyalty. If you think Dottie is your perfect match then please fill out a perfect match form.
