Named after everybody’s favourite ginger cat – meet Garfield!

Garfield is a young shorthair ginger male (who we think has some British shorthair in him due to his exceptionally cute face!)

If you are looking for a soppy cuddle monster, then Garfield might just be the cat for you. He is super friendly and affectionate and loves nothing more than snuggling up next to you and purring away. Garfield, much like the cartoon, loves his food and will quickly make friends with you in return for a tasty treat.

Sadly, Garfield arrived in our care with chronic flu symptoms and was treated immediately for his gunky eyes and snotty nose. Although he has recovered quickly and is doing well, he does suffer with a condition called Entropion – A uncomfortable condition which results in the eyelashes touching the eye itself. Due to this, Garfield will need to return back to CDCH for corrective surgery in the new year, but is keen to find a loving and supportive home in the meantime.

We are hopeful we can find a loving cosy home for Garfield that will be happy to bring him back for his corrective surgery in the new year, and provide supportive care during his recovery. This will likely be regular eye drops for a few weeks and some much needed TLC. Our regular adoption donation will be inclusive of the cost of his surgery.

Due to his need to recover in a calm environment, Garfield is looking for a home without any other animals at this time. Homes with oldre children will be considered.
