Gru

Gru is our adorable, mature French bulldog who is on the look out for a cosy home to retire to.

This handsome boy arrived in our care after his owner was sadly no longer able to care for him, and seems to have been used to a chilled and quiet life. After spending the time in a loving foster home, Gru has shown himself to have a super sweet nature, and friendly with everyone he meets and often greets familiar people with an excited tippy tap of his front feet!

Gru is very well behaved in the home, often shadowing his foster human to see what they are up to, taking lots of well deserved naps, lapping up sunny spots in the garden, and even watching the odd bit of TV. Gru is a complete snuggle bug and is happiest when he has someone to keep him company. Because of this, he would prefer a home where someone is around for most of the day.

Gru is a happy, relaxed soul at home – often found stretched out and horizontal! When he feels a bit anxious, he’ll seek out a comforting lap to climb into for reassurance. He could live with dog-savvy children, as long as they understand that he’s an elderly gentleman who needs a gentle touch.

Gru enjoys a slow-paced life and is perfectly happy with short strolls where he can sniff to his heart’s content. He’d also love a garden to potter around in at his own leisure. Although he is not phased by other dogs, Gru’s ideal home would be free of other animals so he can soak up all the love and attention he deserves.
