Could You Offer a Special Home to Herbie?

Herbie is a young 8 month old cat in desperate need of a second chance. After being removed from a multi-animal home where his needs weren’t met, Herbie has had limited socialisation and is finding the transition to a new environment incredibly stressful. In his last home, Herbie was described as a independent cat who liked fuss on his own terms, but sadly being in cattery, we have yet to see his affectionate side.

While he enjoys his own company and keeps himself entertained, Herbie finds humans quite scary and isn’t quite sure how to interact with people. Because of this, he is looking for a special adopter who can provide a low-pressure environment where he can live more independently to begin with, with patience and TLC to help him grow in confidence. We are hopeful hat with the right approach, and time, Herbie will get back to the cat he once was.

Since Herbie has been in our care, he has come on leaps and bounds and is getting braver by the day. He is now curious to be around our staff team and inquisitive about humans, however isn’t one for close proximity or touch just yet.
Due to Herbie’s nervousness and behaviour, he is looking for an adult only home with no other cats or dogs. He will ideally need a separate area of the home to call his own to start with (spare bedroom etc) to allow him time to decompress and settle in at his own pace without the pressure of having to be near people.
If you feel you can offer Herbie the understanding and patient home he is looking for, please complete a perfect match form below…
