Introducing Missy, the cheeky English Bull Terrier!
Missy has unfortunately experienced a traumatic past up until she arrived at CDCH, but she hasn’t allowed this to stop her making new loving relationships with the staff here at the centre. Her confidence and personality has shone through each week, and she’s now showing us all the cheeky EBT traits that we know and love!
She can be wary and untrusting of new people initially so will thrive in a home that can provide her with a quiet and safe environment with minimal visitors. She is quick to build a relationship so long as the person is confident, respectful and has a supply of tasty treats! Her adopter(s) will need to be committed to multiple viewings at the centre to build a strong relationship with her.
Missy will thrive in a home that has the time to provide her with quiet countryside walks, plenty of play (she loves to play tug-of-war) and snuggles on the sofa throughout the day. The breed is often known for being stubborn or disinterested in training, however, Missy is an exception to this, as she has an eagerness to learn and please her handler! She already knows many basic skills like; sit, down, wait, stay, paw and drop. It would be beneficial for her new adopter(s) to have an understanding of basic training and be keen to continue on-going training within the home.
Due to Missy’s past, she is best suited to a calm adult only (preferably female) home, which has no existing pets, to ensure the focus can be on her. She has shown to be uncomfortable in the presence of other dogs, so would need to live in an area that is low dog populated to avoid these stressors. She has been positively muzzle trained at the centre to ensure other dogs and Missy are kept safe.
Missy now deserves a forever home that will continue to shower her in love and affection. Please fill out a perfect match form to express your interest.
