Meet Nutmeg, a gorgeous 10-month-old female Syrian hamster with a big personality packed into a tiny body.

Nutmeg is very friendly and enjoys interacting with her human friends. She is confident, social, and happy to be gently handled, which makes her a lovely little companion for someone who enjoys spending time with their hamster.

Her favourite activities include running on her wheel, foraging for hidden treats around her enclosure, and rolling about in her sand bath. She’s always busy exploring and keeping herself entertained.

Nutmeg is looking for a home just for herself, as Syrian hamsters must live alone. Nutmeg is really hoping to find adopters who are happy to provide her with a spacious and enriching enclosure that allows her to dig, forage, and explore to her heart’s content. Hamsters are natural burrowers, so it’s important she has plenty of suitable substrate to create tunnels and burrows.

Nutmeg is nocturnal, so she will be most active in the evenings, with playtime usually starting around 9pm when you’ll hear her wheel spinning.

(The minimum recommended enclosure size for a hamster is 100cm x 50cm x 50cm, but bigger is always better.)
