Meet Ollie, a wonderful and quirky Collie who is now looking for a new home with experienced adopters who truly understand collies or other high-drive breeds. Ollie is very much a typical collie, with a sensitive, intelligent and slightly quirky nature that only a true collie person would fully appreciate.
Ollie is friendly with everyone he meets and has a very loving, affectionate personality. He enjoys human company and builds strong bonds with his people. He loves to play and, in true collie style, a good ball game is one of his favourite things in the world.
As a highly intelligent dog, Ollie needs more than just physical exercise. He is looking for a family who can provide plenty of mental stimulation alongside his daily activity, and who are keen to put his clever collie brain to good use. He would thrive with ongoing training, enrichment, and breed-specific outlets that help meet his needs and keep him fulfilled.
Ollie does have some unique sensitivities around sound and movement, particularly certain household noises, which can cause him to bark. These triggers will need to be carefully managed by an adopter who is patient, understanding, and committed to working on desensitisation alongside good management strategies.
Ollie loves being outdoors and would suit an active, outdoorsy home where getting out in all weathers is part of daily life. We would also consider an alternative home setup for him, such as a rural or farm environment or a home with outdoor kennel space, as he may thrive better in this type of setting.
Ollie is a special dog who will do best in the right hands. With an experienced, committed home that understands his breed, sensitivities, and need for both mental and physical outlets, he has so much love, loyalty, and joy to give.
