Meet Peanut and Toffee, our adorable pair of male guinea pigs who are in search of a forever home filled with love and patience.

Peanut and Toffee came into our care after being removed by the RSPCA from a group of over 60 Guinea Pigs – it is clear that they have not experienced much human interaction and understandably are a little nervous of being handled, therefore, will require some patient adopters, who are happy to offer gentle encouragement, which will be key to helping them build trust.

Peanut is a charming boy with long ginger locks – he is the more confident of the two and likes exploring his enclosure or burrowing in hay for any available treats! He is always happy come out to say hello and popcorn around his enclosure in excitement when his food is delivered!

Toffee is a sweet soul with short sleek fur, and is a little more reserved, often choosing to keep to himself. Saying this, he is a happy chap who is equally passionate about food, and joins in with Peanut’s enthusiastic wheeking when it’s dinner time.

These two would be looking to be rehomed as a pair, but could potentially be bonded with another male furry friend. We believe that they have been neutered, but due to their background we cannot be certain, so we will not be able to consider homes with female guinea pigs.

(adopters with an existing guinea will need to have appropriate measures in place to allow for a slow bonding process and be comfortable carrying this out)

Accommodation requirements:

The recommended minimum size for two male guinea pigs is 12ft2 / 175 x 70 cm on one level, with more space if considering three. Male guinea pigs need more space than female to help reduce the risk of fighting.
