Penny is a sweet senior girl who has already been through so much – she arrived at the centre in a heartbreaking state, with matted fur, sore skin, and severely rotten teeth, but after some much-needed TLC, including a good groom and a dental, Penny is feeling so much better and is ready to begin the next chapter of her life.
This lovely lady is searching for a calm and tranquil forever home where she can relax and enjoy her golden years in comfort and security. Penny enjoys gentle daily walks and taking her time to sniff around the garden. She also likes to curl up in her favourite cosy spot for a snooze, and would love to share a home where her adopters don’t mind giving up a space next to them on the sofa. Penny has understandably found the kennel environment a little stressful, so ideally needs some understanding adopters who are happy to give her time to settle in, and can offer her companionship throughout the day, as she can get upset when left.
Penny’s age has meant her eyesight isn’t perfect, so she can be a little cautious with new people or dogs approaching on walks, and may let you know she is not so sure, but once she is familiar, she is calm to greet people, and can even be a little aloof. Penny is not too comfortable travelling in vehicles, so a local home where she can avoid too many journeys would bring her less worry.
Penny is so deserving of another chance of a good life, so if you think you can offer her the peaceful and loving retirement she’s dreaming of, please register your interest by completing an application below:
Open to offering him a foster home instead?
Penny is finding kennels quite worrying, therefore, we would be delighted to find a foster placement for her while we search for her forever family – if you would like to consider then let us know by emailing rehomingteam@cdch.org.uk.
