Prince

Introducing the handsome chap Prince! Prince is a 7 and a half year old Shih Tzu who has a very sweet and loving nature.

Prince thrives in human company, and loves attention and fuss from anyone that crosses his path. He will be sure to provide his new owner(s) with loyal companionship along with calm and gentle energy. Even though this cheeky character loves his humans, he could be left for 2-3 hours per day so long as built up slowly and at his pace.

As Prince is an older chap who loves his downtime we feel he would be best suited to a home where he is the only dog, however we would consider a home with another dog if they were older, calm and matched Prince’s energy. He loves to go on walks where he can get his nose down and have a good sniff, meet other dogs/people and have a play so would benefit from a family that is moderately active and social. He could live with children of 10 years plus so long as they were dog savvy and respectful of his placid nature.

Prince arrived to us needing urgent medical care in which we performed emergency surgery on his eye, he has spent the last 4 weeks in a foster home to ensure he received all the love and care he needed to recover. Prince is no longer on medication for his eye as it is healing fantastically but this will need monitoring in the home and could require further treatment in the future. Due to this his new forever home will need to be able to support Prince with any medical costs that this may involve.

Prince’s fosterer says, “From the moment Prince arrived it was like he always lived here! He has been calm and relaxed around the house, and enjoys snuggling up on the sofa for a good cuddle after a walk. He’s enjoyed meeting new dogs and people, and has been welcoming when my daughter visits with her dog. He’s provided me with amazing companionship and will make a great addition to anyone’s home.”
