This handsome fella is Rocco!

He is an 11 month old Abyssinian Guinea Pig, who before finding himself in need of a new home, spent his days as a show guinea pig. With his showing days now behind him, he is now looking for a new companion to spend his days with.

Rocco came into our care after he had a falling out with his brothers, so he is looking to be rehomed with another more placid male guinea pig or a female. His new owner will need to be prepared to spend the time bonding him and his new friend properly so that they can eventually enjoy each others company.

He is a very sweet natured guinea pig, who can be quite shy at times, but once settled his cheeky personality shines through. He can be a little nervous when being handled, so we hope for a patient owner who is understanding and willing to spend time gaining his trust, in the hope he learns that cuddles are there to be enjoyed!

Rocco loved his snacks, especially pea flakes, mint leaves, and of course hay – which he often burrows into and sleeps in.
