Introducing Roo! (Also known as Roo-Raa!)

Roo is a gorgeous 7 year old Staffie Cross. Roo is looking for a cosy sofa to call her own, with loving and cuddly humans close by. Roo is very gentle and affectionate and once she’s met you you’ll have a best friend for life. She absolutely adores humans and loves to make new friends. When it comes to making dog friends, Roo is more of an independent girl who much prefers human company.

She has spent her time at CDCH in a foster home which has allowed her to experience real home comforts. Roo’s fosterer says; ‘Roo has been an absolute angel from the moment we fostered her. She is such a gentle giant and although she’s a large breed, she’s so chilled that sometimes you forget she’s there! She is such an easy dog that takes everything in her stride. She’s been houseclean since she arrived and has impressed me with her calm and relaxed nature. She’s even enjoyed a dog-friendly holiday where she romped around taking in the sea air! She will make the most fantastic addition to a family home.’

Tennis balls are her all time favourite toy, whether it’s chasing them, chewing them or tearing them apart! She won’t hesitate to join in with a light game of fetch with her favourite human companions. Roo has fairly low-medium energy levels so would benefit from an owner who prefers light exercise and steady paced strolls through the quiet countryside.

Roo has shown that she has a high prey drive. Due to this, it is important for Roo to live in a home with no other animals.

Roo has osteoarthritis, however this doesn’t stop her from loving life! She requires regular veterinary treatments and hydrotherapy sessions. Due to this, CDCH are looking to provide a supported adoption for Roo meaning that we will continue to contribute towards the cost of Roo’s medical care once she is adopted into her forever home.
