You may have seen our recent appeals for our adorable little pup Rupert, who sadly required life saving surgery on arrival at the centre – you can Read More Here

We are delighted to say that this gorgeous little guy is recovering well in the care of a wonderful foster home and is on the road to making a full recovery. In order to prepare for his future, we are now on the search for a loving forever family to continue to dote on him, and show him the love and TLC he needs and deserves!

Rupert is still only very young, but has flourished in his foster home and has already developed a cute and confident little personality. Luckily, despite his delicate start, his foster family have been able to safely introduce him to their existing dog, which has given him the opportunity to share some canine company, which he seems to enjoy, and he has met lots of new people too, so is well socialised and all set up to adapt to his new home environment. It’s been so lovely to see him come to life after being so poorly at the start.

Due to his young age and puppy needs, Rupert would benefit for a home where someone can be around for most of the day while he continues to gain strength, and to help with his training. We think he would quite like to share his home with another friendly dog who would be happy to show him the ropes too – any future canine friends would need to be friendly and tolerant of his puppy ways.

Although Rupert’s operation has been successful, he still requires time to fully heal, so his adopters will need to be understanding that this may have caused some weakness in the area, and continue to be mindful, making sure he remains on a good quality diet and that veterinary checks are made.

Due to Rupert’s age, he still requires his 2nd vaccination and future neutering when he reaches an appropriate age so adopters will need to be happy to return to the centre for these to be carried out.

Puppy adoption pack:

Adoption donation £600 – this is inclusive of initial health checks, flea and worming treatments, vaccinations, a microchip, future neutering (or a voucher towards the cost), one months PetPlan insurance, one weeks worth of food and a £50 CDCH voucher to spend on adoption day.

If you are eager to offer Rupert a loving and safe space in your home, where he can continue to learn and grow, then register your interest today:

*Please note: we expect a high level of interest in the adoption of this cute guy, therefore, we hope you can understand that we are unable to get back to every application individually*
