Shelby

Shelby is a sweet, affectionate boy with a big heart and a love for human company. He’s always happy to meet new people and thrives in a social environment where he can enjoy cuddles and companionship.

Despite his friendly nature with humans, Shelby has had some difficult experiences with other dogs in the past, which means he’ll need to be the only dog in the home. His new family should be understanding and committed to continuing to help him feel more at ease around other dogs using positive, reward-based techniques.

He is full of character and charm, loves to play and enjoys his walks. He will make the perfect companion for a family who are active, fun and like adventures.

Shelby is best suited to an adult-only household or one with older teens (15+). While he’s generally good with people of all ages, he can show some resource guarding over very high-value toys (like a beloved squeaky ball). This is easily manageable with guidance and consistency, and we’re happy to offer advice to help with this.
