Meet our 7 year old whippet cross, Skye!

She’s loving, affectionate and gentle towards every human she meets; she’s truly a very special companion! She prefers the quieter side to life so will thrive in a calm laidback household that will match her energy. She could potentially live with older dog savvy children who are calm and respectful.

Skye has lived a sheltered life so would benefit from having an owner who is around most of the day to give her the reassurance and settling in time she needs. She builds relationships quickly and once she feels comfortable with you she’s a bundle of energy who loves to be on the go! She will require a home that can provide her with plenty of countryside walks and play sessions in the garden. She loves toys, and anything that squeaks gets her attention – typical sighthound!

She’s been incredibly relaxed in a home environment, and loves nothing more than a snuggle on the sofa at the end of a fun filled day! Skye is food motivated which is great for training; she has proven to be a keen learn and has learnt some basic commands already here at CDCH.

She has been comfortable with making new doggy friends here at the centre; she will need an owner that is willing to build her confidence around other dogs. Even though she is social she would benefit from being the only dog in the home as she deserves all the attention on her.

Skye will make the perfect companion so if you feel you could offer Skye the loving home she deserves then please fill out a perfect match form.
