Ready to adopt from the weekend of 20th December – when they are 8 weeks old.

Meet our beautiful dozen – Fawn, Honey, Caramel, Truffle, Amber, Bronze, Biscuit, Toffee, Walnut, Henna, Cocoa, and Sienna! These 12 adorable spaniel cross puppies were born in CDCH care on 26th October and have been lovingly raised in a wonderful foster home alongside their incredible mum. She has been the most patient, gentle, and nurturing mother (and truly deserves a medal for raising twelve pups!).

We believe these little ones may be Spaniel x Labrador mixes, though this cannot be confirmed. Their mother is a Spaniel. What we can say is that they are full of curiosity, character, and charm – ready to grow into loyal and loving companions with the right families.

❗️A Very Important Message – These Puppies Are Not for Christmas

While their adoption date falls close to Christmas, we will not consider any applications from those looking to ‘buy a puppy as a present’. Puppies are not gifts, and we will be screening applications very carefully to ensure adopters understand the lifelong commitment of welcoming a dog into their home.

We will also only consider homes having a quiet Christmas with minimal visitors, as the hustle and bustle of the season can be extremely stressful and disruptive during the puppies’ crucial settling-in period.

What We’re Looking For in Adopters

These puppies need families who are:

  • Fully prepared for the realities of puppy care – house training, puppy mouthing, chewing, and confidence building are all part of the journey.

  • Committed to ongoing training and socialisation to help their puppy grow into a well-rounded adult dog.

  • Able to attend puppy training classes – CDCH runs regular puppy classes on site, and we highly recommend signing up through our website or by speaking to a team member.

  • Flexible to return to the centre for their second vaccination which is due on the 8th January and, when old enough, neutering, both of which form part of the adoption conditions.

  • Active homes, spaniels are working breeds, so require a lot of mental and physical exercise when they are older to ensure their needs are being met.

If you’re ready to make a lifelong commitment to one of these wonderful puppies and can offer a calm, loving home where they can thrive, please submit an application via our website.

These puppies deserve homes that will cherish them long after the Christmas lights come down – could that be you?
