A calm and quiet home, with foster carers who are around for most of the time.

Lots of exercise and stimulation

We are looking for a loving and understanding foster home for a beautiful female dog named Sadie who is currently in our care! Sadly, she has started to find the kennel environment a little stressful and is likely to be here longer term, therefore, we feel she would benefit hugely from respite in a loving temporary home.

Ideal Foster Home: Sadie is a vibrant and intelligent three-year-old pup looking for a foster home that can provide her with the love and attention she deserves. Her ideal home would be an adult-only, quiet environment. She has shown some nervous behaviours around men, so female only is preferable, although, if the foster carers are happy to take time to build a bond with her at the centre prior to foster and allow her some space, we would be happy to consider a home with either.

Home Environment: She would do best in a calm home environment with no other pets. She prefers a serene atmosphere where she can build a strong bond with her human companion without the distractions of other animals and feels most comfortable when someone is home, so a foster parent with a flexible schedule or the ability to work from home would be ideal.

Activity Level: She is a bundle of energy! She loves outdoor adventures, long walks, and playtime (she is toy obsessed). A foster home that enjoys an active lifestyle and can provide her with the physical and mental stimulation she craves would be perfect. She will require her foster carer to continue the training and handling methods shown within the home.

Behavioral Notes: Sadie can be nervous of new people, therefore would benefit from foster carers who are experienced with dog ownership or happy to take on board any advise from the CDCH team. Once she has built a bond, she is social and affectionate. Patience, positive reinforcement, and gradual introductions will help her build trust and feel secure.

We would require any foster carer to remain in regular contact with CDCH and a home within a 30 minute radius of our post code GL2 7AS would be ideal.
