Teazle is a very handsome boy, who is in need of an understanding adopter(s), who are happy to allow him a little time to come out of his shell and settle in to his new home. Teazle has previously lived in a multi cat environment, where he spent much of his time outdoors, and would be able to come and go as he pleased, so understandably is finding the small and busy cattery environment a little overwhelming, causing him to hide away when spooked. However, when given a little space, he will pop out from his cosy spot to say hi, and is very gentle in nature.
What type of family would suit me?
Teazle will benefit from a quiet and stress free home where he can settle at his own pace, in a private space he can have to himself. He would be best suited to a calm family, without children to scare him, or other pets which would make it tricky for him to adjust. Although, as he has previously lived in a multi cat environment, we may consider small holding set-ups, where other animals may share a larger space. As Teazle is a little shy, he would be best suited to a laid back family who don’t mind his need for space in the early days.
What kind of home environment would be best suited?
Teazle has originally lived in a rural setting, offering lots of opportunity to explore open green spaces, therefore, would ideally like a home, which can offer safe, and easy outdoor access whenever he chooses once fully settled. He would likely become stressed if he is unable to access the outdoors freely, so a cat flap would be essential.
Can I be left alone?
Teazle is not worried about being left alone for periods of time – he has been an independent boy and will likely enjoy exploring the garden in the day, or finding a cosy hidden spot to snooze.
