Valerie is an 18-month-old female who is looking for a patient and understanding home. Due to her history, Valerie is nervous around unfamiliar people, but is hopeful there is an adopter out there who is happy to take things slowly.

Valerie is a nervous girl who finds the world a little overwhelming at times. Because of this, she’s searching for a calm, relaxed home where life moves at a gentle pace. She needs patient adopters who understand that trust isn’t built overnight — it’s earned through consistency, kindness, and respect for her boundaries.

When Valerie first arrives in her new home, it will be very important that she has her own private area — ideally a quiet room where she can settle in without pressure. She isn’t the type of cat who will make friends right away, however given time, space, and reassurance, Valerie will slowly begin to show her true self.

Valerie would thrive in:

  • A quiet household with a steady routine – consistency and familiarly are key for her confidence.

  • Patient adopters willing to let her adjust at her own pace, with no expectations to be friends until she’s ready.

  • A home without loud noises or frequent visitors.

  • A dedicated safe space just for her during her transition.

In return, you’ll gain the privilege of watching a shy, sensitive cat blossom into a devoted companion. For the right person, helping Valerie build her confidence will be an incredibly special journey.

If you believe that love is patient, quiet, and unconditional, Valerie may be the perfect addition to your home.
